Southern California lighting designer Jez Blacker is quickly establishing himself as a leading designer in both commercial & residential projects, where he is known for his intuitive eye, fresh approach, and wealth of experience.
Jez has been at the leading edge of lighting design for nearly three decades, creating innovative lighting solutions in traditional, progressive, and modern structures.
Jez was Managing Director of a large electrical company in London, England, where he employed a team of 25 electricians who performed design and installs in residential & commercial properties, including the world-famous Harrod’s Department Store in downtown London, where their offices were also located.
Jez’s clients span from England, Scotland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Abu Dhabi, and a growing number of clients throughout the U.S.
As ILLUM‘s Design Director, Jez personally oversees all projects from beginning to end. Illum is a full service lighting design company. Our broad spectrum of experience has given us the privilege of designing and installing lighting projects from simple residences to multimillion dollar commercial buildings and exquisite upper-end palatial residences.
From initial design sessions through the end of the project and to occupancy, Illum safeguards our clients’ lighting needs and interests by offering the following:
- LIGHTING DESIGN: Our specialty is design. We listen to our clients and design lighting in the most elegant, innovative, and efficient way possible.
- TECHNICAL DRAWINGS: Our excellent staff produce clean, computerized design drawings, revised as needed throughout the project.
- LIGHT FIXTURES SUPPLY: Illum has access to hundreds of manufacturers and represents one of the most unique and innovative lines of fixtures anywhere. We order and supply fixtures, and then coordinate to ensure timely delivery of fixtures to the site.
- ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION: Illum works well with our clients’ licensed electrical contractors to insure excellent lighting installation.
